COLORADO ELK HUNTING

Elk Glade – Colorado

Experience a classic Colorado elk hunt surrounded by rugged canyons, high-mountain meadows and spectacular Rocky Mountain scenery.

Elk Glade offers fully guided elk hunts with access to extensive private and leased hunting country. One of the great advantages of this destination is its flexibility: hunters can pursue elk in more accessible terrain or venture deeper into remote mountain country for a more physically demanding hunt.

Professional guides work with both experienced hunters and those pursuing elk for the first time. ATVs, Jeeps and horses are available to help access the hunting areas and recover game.

MONTANA WILDERNESS ELK HUNTING

Bob Marshall Wilderness – Montana

For hunters searching for something truly wild, our Montana program offers an entirely different experience.

Located in the Bob Marshall Wilderness near Spotted Bear, this hunt takes place in one of the most remote areas of the Lower 48. Hunters travel deep into the backcountry on horseback, surrounded by vast mountains, forests and wilderness with very limited access.

The early-season wilderness hunt begins with approximately a 15-mile horseback ride into base camp near the headwaters of the Spotted Bear River. The hunting country lies along the Continental Divide and borders the Sun River Game Preserve, creating an exceptional setting to pursue free-ranging public-land elk during the rut.

Montana’s special wilderness season provides an opportunity to hunt elk during September with both rifle and archery equipment.

This is a physically demanding hunt and should be considered a true wilderness expedition. Experienced guides, horses and mules are an essential part of the experience, allowing hunters to reach remote country that very few people ever see.
